Finally went on my holiday to Japan and it was amazing! Picked up illust studio while I was there. It's a lot like Manga Studio but with the best toolset for colouring that I've yet come across! Totally beats doing it in Photoshop.
The newest deviation is my contest entry for the Fantasy Dream Paradise group. I really liked the idea of it because it's called the 'Song Inspire' contest where you pick a song and draw something based on it. I chose 'Gohan wa Okazu' which is easily the worst song ever used on K-On (the anime) but it's a lot of fun and makes for a great episode! I just imagined the characters practicing before a gig but all with rice and various other foods on hand.
Regarding illust studio, it's not available in the UK or the US yet which is a shame but I grabbed it for 6900 yen in akihabara and found a fantastic translation tool by Kaetemi called Majikkuwando at
[link] of the functions are still a little confusing and there's no translation of the manual into english yet but I'm planning on doing a full illust studio review/tutorial soon

That's pretty much it for now. Plenty of pics and posts from my Japan trip are online at

Enjoy!
I saw IllustStudio in Tokyu Hands as well...but I thought SAI and CS3 for me is enough XD
I'm going back to Japan in november! want me to take pictures of anything for you?
